Fekadu Petros

Fekadu Petros is a licensed Lawyer and Consultant before all Federal Court and an Assistant Professor at Addis Ababa University School of Law. Fekadu is a senior Attorney with 18 years working experience in litigation and advisory services mainly focusing on corporate law, financial, banking, insurance, tax, competition and arbitration laws. His past experiences include, Senior Private Sector Specialist at the IFC-World Bank, a position he held for over five years, Arbitration Tribunal Manager at the Ethiopia Commodity Exchange, and lecturer at Jimma University.  In terms of education, Fekadu has LL.M in International Dispute Settlement from Geneva University (2010), LL.M in Commercial Law, from Addis Ababa University (2006) and LL.B degree from Addis Ababa University School of Law (2003). Fekadu has extensively published in areas of financial law, insurance, dispute resolution and corporate law with a seminal book on Ethiopian Company Law, published in 2015. 

He has closely worked on revision of the Ethiopian Commercial Code, and the recent Capital Markets Proclamation, working as a key expert in money market regulatory aspects. He is also a certified member of the Chartered Institute of Securities and Investment-a London based financial services professional body.
