Trained in law and possesses LL.B, LL.M (private law) and PhD (in intellectual property law) degrees. Over 19 years of teaching, research, and community service in the field of (intellectual property and commercial) law with leadership and management experience in higher learning institutions. Currently, fulltime assistant professor of law at School of Law of Addis Ababa University where I teach mainly intellectual property law both in the graduate and undergraduate programs. Attended several certificate programs for professional development on intellectual property organized by WIPO and other organizations. I have also attended the WIPO General online course on intellectual Property (IPCC session) and DL-450 Intellectual Property Management within the Framework of Advanced International Certificate Course (AICC) 2020).Published works mainly in the field of intellectual property law. Advises clients on intellectual property law;I have participated in several workshops and conferences on intellectual property in Ethiopia and abroad and made presentations. Very much interested in understanding and explaining the impact of state laws and policies on real socio-economic and cultural lives of people. And very much dedicated to causes of social justice.
